Stronger Together is a short illustrated guide which has been designed to introduce members of the public to the key principles and practices of co-production in research. The guide ranges from exploring the benefits to individuals from taking part, to outlining some of the roles they might take on, to setting out the commitments they can expect from the project team in terms of meeting their access and welfare needs, and in relation to data protection and payments.
Both text and images reflect an overarching concern for equality, inclusivity and diversity. The project has been generously funded by the University of York and the Wellcome Trust through the University of York's Centre for Future Health. We hope that this will be a useful resource for everyone with an interest in co-production, especially with respect to recruiting and inducting co-researchers.
