About this website

This website is dedicated to learning and development for public involvement in health and social care research: what’s it all about and how to do it well.

Learning for Involvement brings public involvement information, resources (such as guidance, websites, videos, articles and blogs) and training together in one place. The content on this website will be suitable for people with different levels of experience in public involvement, but whether you’re an expert or completely new to the topic, you should be able to find something that can help you develop your skills!

To find training and resources

You can use the ‘Explore’ button at the top of the page to browse the training and resources. You can use the filters to select specific types of content like guidance documents, case studies or webinars and to filter by different topics, such as payments or co-production.

To add to the site

The site relies on your contributions so if you have a great resource you’ve produced, some training coming up, or something you’ve seen that might be useful to others, please take the time to share it! You can add documents, PDFs or links to other websites by selecting ‘Upload’. You will need to register or log in to do this, and we check all submissions before publishing to make sure they’re relevant.

Who runs Learning for Involvement?

The Learning for Involvement website is run by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) as part of our commitment to promote public involvement in health and social care research. However, we’re keen to make it a space for the whole community of people interested and passionate about public involvement, so we’d love your contributions!
