Description:

In this section of Health Talk you can find out about the experience of taking part in research as a patient or member of the public, by seeing and hearing people share their personal stories on film.

Involvement is about research being carried out with or by members of the public, who may play a role in any or every aspect of the research process. Researchers travelled all around the UK to talk to 38 people in their own homes. In 2016 we analysed and added 1 new interview as part of the updating program. Find out what people said about their reasons for getting involved, what activities and tasks are required, and the value of patient and public involvement in research. We hope you find the information interesting and helpful.
